02 / ATTENTION & DAILY LIFE
When the intention is there,
but starting is hard.
You may care deeply about what needs doing and still find it hard to begin, stay with it, or switch gears. We can get specific about where the friction happens.
Adult ADHD can affect planning, working memory, time, attention, and emotional regulation. It can also interact with anxiety, stress, sleep, relationships, and the demands of work. I look at the pattern with you rather than reducing the experience to a single explanation.

WHAT YOU MIGHT NOTICE
There is room to
start here.
People experience this in different ways. You may recognize one of these moments, or you may bring something entirely different.
- Important tasks stay unopened even when you want to do them.
- You lose track of time, appointments, details, or the next step.
- Small interruptions make it difficult to return to what you were doing.
- Frustration, self-criticism, or relationship tension follows a missed task.
THE ORANGE GLOW LENS
From a moment
to a practice.
The work can start with one ordinary task. This is an illustration, not a test or a prescription.
01What happens
A project has a deadline, yet the document remains closed. The longer it sits, the more pressure you feel.
02What may be underneath
We ask whether the task is vague, too large, emotionally loaded, or competing with other demands. We consider what usually helps you start.
03A response to try
Make the next action visible: open the file, write a working title, or choose a five-minute starting point. A cue or change in environment may help if it fits you.
04What we review
What made starting easier or harder? We refine the task, cue, or environment instead of asking you to repeat a strategy that did not work.
These are examples of how we might work together, not a personal assessment. Your needs and goals shape the approach.
HOW WE WORK
Insight with
something to use.
My approach pairs insight about recurring patterns with practical experiments between sessions. We can also look at the emotions and beliefs that build around ADHD, including the effect on work, intimacy, and confidence.
Our work is active: we start with what is happening, identify recurring patterns, practice responses between sessions when appropriate, and review what you notice in daily life and in how you feel. We adjust as we learn what fits. Mindfulness, gratitude, or affirmations can be optional tools if they fit your goals.
